This post is a little out of character for the blog, but heck to it! I wanted to share.

Chloe and I have been friends for over a decade. She moved to my hometown of Taos, New Mexico from Atlanta while I was living in the Virgin Islands. She had become friends with all my high school buddies and upon my return we quickly became close. After living in Argentina I moved to New York and we became roommates in her tiny studio on 9th street in the East Village. I consider this my "college" phase since our apartment was more like a dorm. Looking on it now, we have no idea how we made it work, but we did. We have been solid friends through thick and thin, though we have our differences our friendship is one built to last. She's been with Lucas for over five years and hes become like a brother to me, the sweetest man full of sincere kindness.

As we were planning this small intimate wedding our conversation went something like this.

Chloe: "We can just go to the bodega, they have flowers for 20cents a stem."
Me: (with a look of horror) "Um, I dont think so, I will do your flowers but you gotta get someone else to do the photos, I can't do both. Plus I want to get drunk and have fun!"
Chloe: "Ok, sounds good."
Chloe: "We are going to pass out bubbles to everyone after the ceremony."
Nicole: "Perfect, you love bubbles."

So I went to the flower district and pulled some of my favorite flowers and made this bouquet for her. I carried buckets full of flowers thoughout the city, hitting innocent bystanders with quince blossoms. Serious kuddos to all my hard working talented floral designer friends, doing flowers for a wedding is no joke. I snapped a few shots, I mean how could I not. Congrats to my lovely friends.

  6. I'm glad your friend will have these lovely pictures to treasure in the years ahead. The only thing prettier than your flowers was the Bride's lovely, shining face. Congrats and best wishes to them!

  7. Congratulations to your friends. The photos are beautiful. There is something about that last shot, where she is looking out the car window. I'm drawn to it.
